Geist

giest.jpgLocated in Marion, Hamilton and Hancock counties in central Indiana, 12 miles northeast of Indianapolis,  Geist Reservoir has a water area of 1,900 acres a maximum depth of 30 feet and an average depth of 11 feet.

There are several golf course communities within the township and you are within minutes of Conner Prairie and Verizon Music Center. You are approximately 30 minutes from Downtown Indianapolis. Indianapolis is home to the Indianapolis 500 auto race, the Brickyard 400, the Grand Prix, and professional sports teams including the Pacers, the Colts, and the Indianapolis Ice.

If staying close to home is more your style, there are many activities to be found on and around the lake.  Residents are close to several golfing communities as well as the live music amphitheatre Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville.  On the weekend, the lake comes alive with boaters, water skiers, wake boarders, and swimmers.  Fishing is also very popular on Geist reservoir for it is home to catfish, crappie, and bass.

Geist Reservoir offers the people of Indianapolis and Fishers the convenience of being close to Indianapolis with the ease of lakeside living.
